Whole Wheat Banana Bread


½ cup butter

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 cup mashed banana

1 cup flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp nutmeg

1 cup whole wheat flour

1/3 cup hot water

½ cup chopped pecans


Combine butter, sugar and eggs till light. Stir in bananas. Sift flour, salt, baking soda and nutmeg. Stir in wheat flour with fork. Blend this mixture into first mixture alternately with hot water, stirring only to blend. Add pecans. Place in a greased 9x5x3 loaf pan. Turn out on rack to cool.


Bake at 325, for 60 minutes
