2 packages of Bakers semi-sweet chocolate
¼ cup butter
¾ cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
½ cup flour
¼ tsp baking powder
1 cup chopped pecans (if not using nuts, increase flour to ¾ cup)
Microwave 8 squares of chocolate on medium for 3-4 minutes, stir till smooth. Stir in next 4 ingredients, mix well, and stir in 8 oz. coarsely chopped chocolate and nuts. Drop by heaping spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350F for 12-13 minutes, cool for 1 minute, place on wire rack to cool
Makes 30 cookies
