Welcome, one and all, to the digital version of Nana's recipe box. Cook and enjoy. Share and photograph. Send me those photos and I will post them alongside the recipes. Feel free to comment on any adaptations you have experimented with, so we can all learn and share and cook together. Breakfast Casserole

10 slices white bread - cubed and crusts removed

½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

6 beaten eggs

1 cup light cream

½ tsp pepper

1 lb. cooked pork sausage, crumbled

½ cup shredded swiss cheese

1 cup milk

1 tsp salt

½ tsp pepper

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

½ can sliced mushroom (optional)

Grease 9 x 13 pan. Arrange layers of bread, sausage, cheese and mushrooms. Repeat layers. Combine rest of ingredients, pour over top. Refrigerate overnight.

Bake 350F, covered, for 45 minutes
