Sweet Pastry


7 tbsp butter

1 tbsp corn oil

4 tbsp water

1 tbsp sugar

pinch of salt

1 cup all purpose flour, more if needed


Over a low heat, bring all ingredients except flour just to a boil, add ½ flour till it forms a sticky paste, add rest of flour, 1 tbsp at a time, till no longer sticks to side of pot. If wet and greasy looking, add more flour using hands, spread dough on tart shells with fingers, and press against sides with fork. Prick everywhere bake till light brown, let cool, and fill.


Bake at 425F, for 15 minutes
