Susie's Bread


3 cups very warm water (105-115 degrees)

1 tbsp dry yeast

1 tbsp sugar

6-6 ½ cups flour

1 tbsp salt


Combine first 3 ingredients - let stand a few minutes in a large (1 gallon) size bowl. Add flour and salt - mix thoroughly with spoon (do not knead)


Cover bowl with plastic wrap, place in warm place till has doubled or tripled, 2-3 hours.


Dump dough on heavily floured board. Divide in 4. Place in well oiled pans, 4 inches larger than bread. Cover, set aside in warm place till nearly doubled. Place in pre-heated oven, use middle shelf.


Bake at 400F, for 18-20 minutes

If frozen, defrost and reheat 350F for 10 minutes
